Although winter can bring some unknowns to life for folks here in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; it is a much-anticipated season for locals, and outdoor enthusiasts who have grown up loving the activities a fresh snow fall offers. Just North on 1-95, Schweitzer Resort is known as our mountain capable of satisfying all skiing and snowboarding levels with various lifts to choose from. They even offer tubing for those adverse to being on your feet while flying down the mountain. If you are looking to reach out to try some other options for our winter months, head East out of Coeur d Alene to Lookout Pass. Lookout Pass is a family friendly place to go to ski or snowboard. They offer three terrain parks, which are very popular amongst the thrill-seeking younger kids! Lookout is famous for their “Free Ski School for Children” as well. Silver Mountain is our last but certainly not least, must ride, see, hike, tube, and swim resort in North Idaho.
